Happy Easter- A Layered Floral Cross

Hi Stampers!

Time for the new SUO94 SUO-Only Challenge is “Easter Time” and I decided create a multiple layered card for the JustAdd Ink JAI209 Just Add Layers Challenge

I hope you will have the time to visit and check out the rest of the fantastic Design Team projects at both sites, and if you have a chance, join in on the fun!

To create this project:
Using My Digital Studio (MDS), open a blank 8.5x11 document and insert the floral branch and the sentiment from from Easter Blossoms and enlarge both a bit.  Print out onto Whisper White cardstock and use the X-Large Oval Punch to punch out the sentiment.
Color the blossoms using the Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write marker, the stem using Sahara Sand and carefully fussy cut out the branch image.
Using Basic Black Classic Ink, stamp the Trefoil cross image onto a 1 7/8” strip of Soft Sky cardstock and color the cross using the Stampin’ Write Soft Sky marker.  Round the corners using the Envelope Punch Board and use the Scallop Tag Punch to create the tag top.  Using Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink and the splatter Gorgeous Grunge stamp to apply a bit of distressing to the cross image.  Carefully cut around the cross image up to the top edge of the cross and mount the tag onto a 2” tag created from Basic Black cardstock.
Using the Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink, stamp the Off the Grid background stamp along with the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Trim the panel and adhere a piece of embossed Pink Pirouette cardstock to the lower part of the panel (embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).
Mount the panel to a piece of Basic Black cardstock, then layer onto a piece of Soft Sky cardstock and add the 1 ¼” Burlap Ribbon to cover the seam of the Pink Pirouette layer.
Carefully lift the lower part of the cross image from the tag and layer the fussy-cut branches behind the cross (adhering with Mini Glue Dots™).
Mount the tag and layered sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and adhere the remaining branches with Mini Glue Dots™.
Create the small paper bow using the Large Oval and Hexagon Punch (from scraps of embossed Pink Pirouette cardstock using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).  Add the Antique Brad to the center and adhere the bow to the top of the tag.
Add a few pearls to the flower centers, tag and corner to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Trefoil Cross, Gorgeous Grunge, Easter Blossoms (MDS version)
Ink: Printer Ink- Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Soft Sky, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand
Paper/Cardstock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky
Accessories: Big Shot™, Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Punches: XL Oval, Hexagon, Scallop Tag;  Antique Brad, 1 ¼” Burlap Ribbon, Envelope Punch Board, Pearls
Thanks again for visiting - I hope you have a chance to join in on our “Easter Time” SU-Only Challenge!
