Gratitude with a little bit of "Rock-n-Roll"

Hi Stampers!

This card was created using the colorful combination of this week’s CQC99 ColourQ Challenge along with the SC347 Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge.

To create this quick and fairly easy card:

On Whisper White cardstock, use the
"Rock –n-Roll" technique and ink up the foliage images from French Foliage in Crushed Curry (roll into Old Olive and or Pumpkin Pie), Pumpkin Pie (rolled into Old Olive) and Pumpkin Pie (rolled into Island Indigo). Repeatedly stamp the images using masks created from sticky notes to overlap the images.

Place the masks over the leaf images and stamp the background stamp using Island Indigo ink.  Sponge the edges and some of the white area with Pumpkin Pie ink and tear the edges, re-sponge with Island Indigo.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Pumpkin Pie Designer Series Paper- lightly sand the raised images and sponge with Island Indigo.

Use a brayer with Island Indigo ink to ink up the smooth side of the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and emboss a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Big Shot™ .

Emboss a piece of Island Indigo with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Layer this strip onto a piece of Old Olive DSP and assemble the card front onto the Island Indigo card base.

“Huff” on the previously inked stamps from the steps above and stamp onto a small piece of Whisper White.  Use Stampin’ Write markers in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive to color the sentiment and stamp over the light images.  Punch out with the Decorative Label Punch and sponge with Island Indigo.  Layer onto Island Indigo and attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Lightly spray the entire card with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (mixed with 70% alcohol) to finish off the card.

Thanks again for visiting- if I continue to have internet service (due to an ongoing  DSL issue whenever there is any inclement weather and Hurricane Irene), I may post another card or two with this same color combo:-)
